Special features:

Originally built on the initiative of King Louis XIV in order to house wounded soldiers, this flamboyant monument encompasses a church which has become a military pantheon and includes, notably, the tombs of Napoleon, Field Marshal Turenne and Vauban: also a Field Marshal as well as a military architect. Within this protected historical site—and during full operation—SLH Île–de–France is overseeig the implementation of safety standards and a new fire protection system. Executed in coordination with the French Ministry of Defense and the Civil Engineering Services of Paris, the operation applies to the entire site including the Hôtel National des Invalides and its adjacent historic hospital.

SLH is also fulfilling another major assignment on the same site: a study of the structural movements of the dome which caps the Invalide’s Saint–Louis church. This project is organised according to five phases and its execution is staggered over five years until the end of 2008.
